Calgary City Council candidate Landon Johnston believes that a home surveillance video obtained by True North shows incumbent Calgary councillor Peter Demong allegedly removing a neighbour’s campaign sign advertising Johnston’s bid for Ward 14.
Johnston told True North that he only recently obtained the video, but that he had already filed a police report and that the police confirmed to him that the case had been approved. He said he hopes police will pursue theft and mischief charges.

The Calgary police confirmed to True North that they are investigating the incident after it was submitted to them on Thursday, but could not say what potential charges might be pursued.
