Alberta Premier Danielle Smith is calling out Liberal Leader Mark Carney for giving contradictory answers on pipeline development, accusing him of flip-flopping and pandering to different audiences.
Alberta Energy Minister Brian Jean is warning that Carney may be new, but the cast of MPs behind him hasn’t changed.
Jean accuses them of pushing the same anti-energy policies, including an emissions cap that Jean says would devastate the province’s and country’s economy.
And despite receiving less federal housing support than B.C. and Ontario, Alberta is leading the country in new housing starts so far in 2025, with both Calgary and Edmonton seeing strong growth.
