“We’re coming for your children!” chant sparks backlash at Toronto Pride parade
As Toronto’s annual Pride Parade drew thousands of participants, at least one attendee was heard chanting obscenities that sparked immediate backlash online.
“We’re coming for your children!” an unidentified man shouted. No attendees appeared to challenge him, according to video from the event.
“I believe it when they say they are coming for the children,” one X user said. “They have become so emboldened, they no longer try to hide their sick agenda!”
Another wrote, “It’s been obvious for years,” while a third said, “Coming for them? I think they’ve already got them.” Keep Reading
Newfoundland backs down on kids’ medical records following Juno report
Newfoundland’s premier is reversing a policy denying parents access to their children’s medical records under a new health information system, marking a win for parents and parental rights advocates.
“We will ensure the law supports parents and guardians while protecting the best interests of children and youth,” Conservative Premier Tony Wakeham told the National Post.
A memo first reported by Juno News, emailed to parents across Newfoundland and Labrador on Jun. 19, said parents would lose access to the health records of children over 16 and would need a child’s consent to access records for those aged 12 to 15.
“A parent or legal guardsman can request proxy access to their child’s personal health record and it will be available through the parent’s MyHealthNL account if granted,” reads the letter. Keep Reading

The figure marks a 0.5 percentage point drop from the previous year and a longer-term reduction of 7.3 percentage points since 2010. However, the remaining level of overseas ownership raises ongoing concerns about Canadian economic sovereignty, particularly in manufacturing, natural resources and key financial activities.
