This Privacy Policy and Terms of Service (“Policy”) describe how Juno News (“we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you subscribe to or interact with our publications on Substack and other platforms we operate. By providing your personal information, you agree to the practices described below.

Payment information (when making donations or purchases)

To send you subscription and fundraising appeals, and information about supporting our work
To send you promotional or commercial offers related to our publications or partners
To send you text messages (SMS/MMS) about the above, if you have provided your phone number
To process donations, purchases, or subscriptions you make

3. Legal Basis and Consent
By providing your email address or phone number, you are expressly consenting to receive electronic communications (including emails and text messages) from us relating to news, fundraising, subscriptions, and promotional offers.

Please note: Substack’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy also apply to your use of our Substack publication. This Policy applies to how Juno News uses information you provide to us, while Substack’s policies cover their platform and services.
8. Refunds and Subscription Renewals
All subscriptions to Juno News are recurring and will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless canceled by you prior to the renewal date, in accordance with Substack’s Terms of Service (or applicable payment processor policies). We (and/or our platform providers) send renewal and billing notifications in advance of each renewal to allow sufficient time for review and any desired cancellation. As subscriptions provide immediate and ongoing access to exclusive content upon payment, all fees are non-refundable except in cases required by applicable law. Requests for refunds outside of legal obligations will not be granted, as subscribers are responsible for managing their subscriptions and ensuring timely cancellation to avoid renewal charges. This policy supports the continued delivery of independent journalism and ensures predictable support for our operations.
9. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by posting the updated version with a new effective date.
