Milford, now 54, was one of 42 contract workers for Syncrude on a bus headed to Edmonton from Fort McMurray when a semi truck slammed into the driver’s side, killing six and injuring 30 in May 2005 on Highway 28. Three died on scene, while three died later in hospital.he suits blame truck driver Inderjit Singh Virk, from Brampton, Ont., and allege his company and the Ontario company that owned the truck failed to maintain its brakes

.

On April 6, 2018, 15 people were killed and 13 were injured when a northbound coach bus struck a westbound semi-trailer truck that blew through a stop sign near Armley, Saskatchewan, Canada. The driver of the truck had failed to yield at a flashing stop sign at the intersection of Saskatchewan Highways 35 and 335 while driving at a speed of approximately 100 km/h (62 mph). Most of the deceased and injured were players from the Humboldt Broncos, a junior ice hockey team from Humboldt, Saskatchewan, which plays in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL).The truck driver who caused the deadly Humboldt Broncos bus crash has applied to have his permanent resident status returned.   The Immigration and Refugee Board issued a deportation order in May for Jaskirat Singh Sidhu and his permanent resident status was revoked.

THIS is how long this bullshit has gone on..and our voices and protests has been buried by the MSM..

It's been happening since as far back as 1995 in BC where foreigners were caught bribing DMV workers to buy their licences. The commercial trucking industry was always going to be compromised by people that look at our rules and laws as nothing more than an inconvenience. People who believe "it's only illegal if you get caught". It's an entirely different mindset in other cultures. We had a high trust society once, but you can only maintain that with people that understand the values that society requires. Mass immigration made that impossible.

We were taking the Syncrude to Calgary bus that night, and when I got home my sister from Brantford called when she heard about the crash and worried if it was our bus..I hadn't even heard about it till she called. we got back up to Syncrude Monday when we had a meeting with Syncrude brass..giving us the names of the dead / injured ...one of the new guys on our electrical crew was one of the fatalities. ):

In 1999/2000 BC news agencies did the story about Drivers Licences being sold to the wealthy Hong Kong Chinese who had fled Hong Kong in 1997, after HK was given back to communist China by Britain.

Richmond BC Licencing employees were selling legal drivers licences to the HK Chinese for $5000 dollars without testing. Chinese employees and Chinese drivers.

Big news back then although we who lived in BC knew that these new Chinese drivers were causing the majority of the accidents and deaths.

Time passes and we find that East Indians are pulling a similar scam with Truck Driving licences throughout North America resulting in the deaths of our citizens.

We always talk about immigrants integration but it doesn't always work as predicted. In fact some religions/cultures form communities and do not integrate at all except for the purpose of credentials and welfare. In the past this line of thinking was called racisms although it was true.

Unfortunately government bureaucrats and silly servants at all levels can be bribed and it appears that we do not have the leadership to face facts. Good for Alberta.

When I was still doing long haul, 20 years back the Us border patrol was catching them regularly for not having a drivers license. That was and maybe still is a criminal offence in the US.

The US is now going after truckers with fake licences and bad English

Remember that very well, lived through it. The racism claim was always used to silence anyone that spoke out, even though the racism was very much the other way, and despite it being a statistical fact. Richmond has now been entirely gentrified. It has the largest population of Chinese ethic people outside of China. Anyways, that's why they had to introduce the graduated licensing program in BC. Low trust societys and high trust societies can't co-exist, the high trust society is always lost. We could once leave out pennies for other's to use, but then new Canadians began just helping themselves to the entire pile. We've lost a lot of our culture and customs these last decades to globalism and mass immigration.

We're not suppose to mention it or feel the loss of our once high trust society, but of course we do.

Well said Andi. From political correctness to racism. Stigmatizing those who don't like the changes in their culture or invasion of their country by the immiscible. I've had enough. The joy of retirement gives me an opportunity to speak my truth...even after the Liberal government has threatened to take away my freedoms of thought and speech.

I was a shipper in Calgary in the mid 80s..and many truckers servicing our company had mentioned about a training center right across from our company that was training only tanned men wearing towels on their heads..People must have reported them cuz they got shut down..but not much news coverage about it..About a month after they left, I was delivering parts in the expanding Foothills Industrial Park..and there they were..new location..same company..same tanned towel wearing "drivers"..they are very persistent..cuz 40 years later they're still here...(Ontario)...I'm not gonna point fingers and say this issue is politically motivated, but back here in Ontario, (where accidents involving truckers with tans and head towels has spiked exponentially for decades) ,the Minister of Transportation has a tan..and towel on his head...strange coincidences indeed.!!...probably has something to do with the thousands of new "Canadians" with a big, red L pinned on their towel wrapped around their tanned head.

All provinces are guilty of fast tracking and ignoring safety on our highways from our so called new Canadians with their fancy head bands…… these people have no value for their lives or others on the highway, when you see lights flashing and horns blaring or tailgating…..whether on a straight or curve you know it is one of them and they are going to pass…….like I said they do not care!!!!!

Not a head band. That is their way of carrying the bedding along instead of using regular knap sacks, or totes. Never know when or they'll be sleeping.

There are way to many wreck less and unqualified drivers on the road. Some of the drivers think they are driving racing cars. They have no comprehension as to what the weight of the rig would do if they lost control.

They don't care. They are likely to walk away, other drivers not s much. They are driving what is practically equivalent to a tank. Also in some cultures live is cheap, sadly.

This has been well known, well documented and has been growing for a couple of decades. Now that it has reached crisis proportions, the government is finally taking baby steps to correct it. When I say, "Asleep at the wheel", I'm not referring to truckers. A good friend of mine quit trucking after 30 years, having travelled millions of kilometers without an accident because in his words, "I don't want to get killed. These guys only know speed. They come around corners wide and so fast that the wheels on one side are almost off the ground, forcing you onto the shoulder so you don't have a head on collision".

Indeed. Out-of-province drivers as well. Amazing the videos I've seen where they don't seem bothered by the damage they cause; perhaps because there's no accountability and they'll keep on driving. However, the primary responsibility should be the companies hiring them, although the former may have the ok of the government. Victims are expandable to advance equality.

Our governments have okayed all of this by simply pretending they don't notice. They don't care about us. That much has been clear for a long time. There are so many known problems brought into our society willingly by those in power, but no one who will address them for fear of being called names. It's unbelievable what stigmatizing someone will do.

Clamping down on the trucking industry is all well and good. However, there is insider information going to trucking firms so their driver can avoid Truck Safety Check Stops. And those that manage to avoid them are by vast majority Sikh, even though they have a significant number on the road.

If you start early enough you never have to pass a check point and have a vehicle inspection in BC. It's not like they couldn't fix the loopholes. It's not a bug it's a feature.

We require this regualatory process across Canada. No immigrant drivers unless they have proven high English Speaking and Reading ability because the carnage on our roads is far too horrific from those do not.
