A powerful Mexican drug cartel responsible for a wave of terrifying violence, including torching cars, banks, and gas stations across multiple cities, is now officially operating in Canada, sparking alarm among Canadians online.

Following the assassination of Jalisco New Generation Cartel’s (CJNC) leader, “El Mencho,” the cartel went on a rampage, setting up roadblocks and terrorizing Mexican officials, citizens and tourists with a mass crime wave and a militant takeover of Puerto Vallarta, one of Mexico’s most popular tourist destinations.

Many Canadians became stranded when airlines cancelled flights to and from the city.
