Canada may not be out of the tariff woodwork yet, despite Friday’s Supreme Court decision which struck down many of U.S President Donald Trump’s trade tariffs.

In a defiant move against the Supreme Court, Trump declared that all existing national security and “unfair trading practices” tariffs will stay in place, while simultaneously imposing a sweeping 10 per cent global tariff on imports.

Trump noted that the Supreme Court decision added “clarity” to the American market and stated he will now impose higher tariffs on many countries than previous measures allowed.
