Canadians upset with U.S. President Donald Trump’s repeated references to Canada as the “51st state” are urging Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to request a statement from King Charles III.
If King Charles has anything to say on Canada, he is a little late…. Where was he when Mary Simmons was appointed Governor General….where was he when he let her perogue government….where was he when he let the Liebreal government hold leadership on parliament hill….. where was he when Justine condemned the Freedom Convoy and called us all sorts of names for showing support for Canadians than the WEF elites……. The where was he could go on and on…….. However President Trump is trying to clean up the mess that these two have left us in!!!!!
Perhaps you should read up on what the monarchy is allowed to do. He/she is not, I repeat not allowed to make political statements. The monarchy is not allowed to act without the say so of the current government. The monarchy has absolutely no power whatsoever to interfere in Canadian politics. When the Governor General is appointed the Canadian government chooses who gets the position, not the King.
We have a constitutional monarchy and as head of state we have the reigning monarch. He/she is not allowed to make political comments nor delve into politics of any kind. Better this system than a republic whereby Canadians would need to vote for a president, provide a lavish home, large budget, an entourage and vote for not only a prime minister but a president perhaps once every 5 years. The P.M. can request the monarch to make a statement on behalf of the govt. but Trudeau doesn't appear to be interested in doing so.
turdoh to charles: Oh wef daddy; please put in a good word with Trump for me, so I don't actually have to do anything pm-like and soil my soft, thespian hands. Maybe instead turdoh should ask one of the other wef vip's like blarney carny or the other board member notsofreeland.
More prof that troodoe is an idiot. The US is not a UK member, what good does this do. He's running around like achicken with it's head cut off, scratching at the asphalt looking for an answer to his dilemma. But Charles is just as stupid.
Well, if there are any Brits who think THEIR king should be mucking about in Canadian political matters then I guess they won't mind if their royal fop dictates tries to influence what happens in the UK (no, not Ukraine). Not even Starmer's group would associate with that oaf.
Laughing, Trudeau is acting like a little boy that lost a fight and running to his daddy to stick up for him. Even if King Charles sticks up for Canada, does he really think Trump would care, so are again paying for this jerk to fly around the world on our money. If King Charles isn't interested in sticking up for Trudeau, what does that tell us about the support Trudeau claims Canada is getting against Trump from the UK. Why are Canadians paying King Charles large sums of money to do what?
