Imagine if Canada had a pool of oil under it…oh it does. Well imagine if that pool had the technology to bring it to the surface…oh it does. But if that pool had pipelines to get it to other points of Canada so the East does not depend on Hormuz…oh it doesn’t.
btw: Trudeau saved the TMX pipeline from extinction and then tripled its capacity. He also approved the massive new LNG port in Kitimat to export our NG to Japan and China. It is in operation as we speak. Harper did not approve even one new major pipeline during his decade in power.
The East doesnt depend on Hormuz, it gets its oil from Nfld and the US. The largest refinery in Canada in Saint John, just got a shipment from Saudi this week but the Irvings, not being fools when it comes to the oil business, have arranged with the federal govt to use foreign ships (no Canadian ones were available) to bring in more from Nfld and Louisiana. No shortages here.
