Investigators from the Peel police’s Special Victims Unit have charged a man—Hamad Nadeem, 23—for allegedly sexually assaulting an 18-year-old woman.
According to police, between June and July 2025, the suspect reportedly communicated with the victim via a dating app using the online name “Alejandro” before arranging to meet for “a date” with the victim.
The suspect arrived to pick up the victim in a white Tesla Model 3.
On July 8, Hamad Nadeem was arrested by Peel police and charged with sexual assault.
He was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton scheduled for Friday morning.
For reasons covered by a standard publication ban related to details on bail hearings, Nadeem has been remanded into custody and will remain detained until his next court appearance.
His matter has been adjourned to August 1.
As previously reported by True North, Nadeem’s arrest fits into a wider pattern of accused in sexual assault cases using dating and other social media apps to lure unsuspecting victims.
While police didn’t disclose what phone app was used in this case, True North has repeatedly reported on alleged predators using Snapchat and dating apps as a consistent means of identifying and approaching potential victims, including minors.
Investigators believe there may be additional victims and are urging anyone with information to call the SVU at 905-453-2121 ext 3460.
How can they say "alleged" it happened, ask the young woman. Another candidate for deportation.
