Universities in Canada, as with pretty much all of them in America have become the home of woke, progressive jokes whose value of principles, Academic freedom, merit, free speech, etc is effectively none-existent.
In Canada pretty much all of them are hugely Government funded.
Do Governments say anything about this kind of unacceptable behaviour?
It's really very simple. If these institutes of higher learning refuse to remove these rotten policies by any name, they need to have their funding stopped until they cooperate!
As President Trump does in the US, stop all government funding to institutions that practice this Marxist policy! When Alberta becomes an independent nation, that will be a simple and effective action!
