Kindergarten and older students in Ontario are now being tasked with designing their own land acknowledgements, an exercise pushed by school boards as part of their “Indigenous Education” training.
I wonder, how many Liberal/NDP politicians will ever lose their home or property to this newfound lunacy which is nothing more than a giant ATM for lawyers.
This country seems Hell bent on self-destruction and this might be the issue that accomplishes that.
I'd pose the question, "What is wrong with this country?" but the answer to that is so evident that the question falls into the rhetorical category.
ie: More than a decade of a dim-witted, juvenile, unqualified and vacuous PM with all the intellectual depth of a petri dish, installing dim-witted, juvenile, unqualified and vacuous, people in positions of petty power throughout our bureaucracy, education and justice systems.

The biggest reason it has come this far??... instead of taking the inspiration from the Trucker's Protest, (most) of us bowed to the fear of Gov't reprisals and failed to push back when we had momentum..Trudeau KNEW the Emergency Act was illegal and he also knew that any legal consequences wud take YEARS in court..but they had already doused the flames of revolt with those threats. It STILL baffles me that many of us never figured out that the threats of protesting.. (freezing accounts/ freedom restrictions/ gov't crackdowns/ prison) are EXACTLY what their targeted agenda for us is once they've won!!!..
Despite significant investigations, no human remains have been found at the Kamloops Indian Residential School site, raising questions about the initial claims of unmarked graves. So, the Ontario School boards have taken another way to push their rhetoric. I assume the teachers are expected to attend mandatory courses, “pre-learning and conversations” that support “systemic changes of meaningful inclusion and equity.”Once the training is completed, books are removed from school libraries and librarians who resist are given an early retirement. The purge is on, and the fatuous clown politicians do not seem to care.
Looking more and more like the kind of tactics employed in countries like North Korea and Communist China to start the brainwashing agenda in Canada’s schools be cause of access to the most vulnerable, Canada’s children. The question is where do these programmes come from?

I agree with you. I would like to see public audits of how our aboriginal population is spending the billions of dollars they have been receiving from the tax payers of this nation. They should start paying taxes on all of this land they seem to think belongs to them plus on their income derived from pipe lines passing through “their reserves” Perhaps an appropriate deduction from their present government handouts would be a start. I think the aforementioned could be interpreted as “equality”, a novel thought these days

Government has implemented a system of hereditary title on the native reserves and then given all the tax money to a small elite minority of natives thereby dividing and impoverishing the populations on the reserves who can't seem to be able to expose this huge hypocrisy by themselves.
Most Canadians have forgotten about that God who created the earth, the water, the air, the sky and the heavens. So its only natural that teachers teach children to honour things that were created. God also created virtues, like honesty, patience, gratitude, justice, kindness and faith. When Canadians celebrate virtuous behaviour, the teachers will follow suit, in time.
Countries formed and largely inhabited by Christians include England, the United States and Canada. Since the 1970's many Canadians turned to atheism. Countries formed by atheists include the Soviet Union, Communist China, Warsaw Pact countries like communist Poland, communist Romania, communist Hungary.
You might say that Iran is ruled by Muslims, but do the leaders follow the God who is merciful and compassionate? Or are they using “Islam” to hide their selfishness, greed and dishonesty?

If you love someone very much, such as your own child or children, then you have an idea of what God is. If you leave this world some day, then your life here might seem a myth. This should followed up by provincial examinations at at grades 4-6, 9 and 12 this would enable a proper evaluation of teaching methodology . this would also aid in ensuring our children get a balanced education and taught how to think for themselves in a logical manner. Lastly reinstate pass fail examinations for students with a standardized evaluation criteria.
