This is one Canadian that 100% agrees with your solutions. Defund and disband the CBC and halt the Temporary FOREIGN worker Program and ALL immigration until we can manage it. With so many Canadians from ALL age groups suffering unemployment it is ridiculous to allow ANY immigrants in. The number of immigrants that have been allowed into Canada over the last years by the Liberal government is insane. The numbers of foreigners are costing taxpayers a fortune and negatively impacting our hospitals, schools, housing and of course, lack of employment for CANADIANS. But it’s not just the CBC. It’s absolutely everywhere. Low end jobs, high-end jobs, all going to people from other countries to save money. Canadians can’t get jobs. I am one of them. I was a journalist, but there are no more journalism jobs unless they are paid for by the government, (journalism incentive program )which I have been offered and refuse to do. So I went to work at a cannabis factory and I was let go with one day notice and a person from India now has my job. (note I do not blame the worker for this, the Indians are hard-working good people seeking a better life, I blame the government and the powerful conglomerates for hiring other people instead of Canadians. )
I also work in nursing homes, and I see an extreme minority of employees are Canadians. The rest of the employees are people from other countries who speak such poor English that the sick, lonely, elderly residents can’t understand them.
Canadians can’t get jobs. This is why Canada is going to be the next Third World country.
I believe it’s too late to make a turnaround on this. It’s gone too far. It’s frightening.

In all fairness to the CBC their announcers are incompetent and useless, their technicians are lacking as it takes too many to do a job and as for business employees they couldn't run anything.

Reminds me of a fellow I ran into a couple of years ago in Ottawa. He said he belongs to a department that obtains government jobs for new immigrants.
I remember thinking how coveted those jobs are for many Canadian citizens who want good pay, excellent benefits, and retirement security.
It also brought to mind the times I have contacted departments of the government by phone and had to speak to someone who had great difficulty understanding me and visa -versa - very frustrating encounters indeed.
So sad to see this fraudulent entity continue to exist! The CBC needs to go PERIOD!!
