I am a very proud Albertan. I don't have anytime for the busted cnocept of Canada. The prairie provinces have always been used as a cash cow in one way or anther since the corrupt confederation agreement was es tablished. The east took our production to profit by. When that wasn't good enough the took our profits in taxation, such as equalization. We would be a 100% better off on our own. If the east wants to do something about it, they'd best dump quebec.
We should give serious consideration to becoming a US state. Alberta will never receive fair representation under the Canadian parliamentary system. It’s time to do something about this fact instead of whining and gnashing our teeth. Trump has given us an enormous opportunity and leverage to reform Canada. If we don’t get a fair deal and equal representation at the federal level for EVERY province, the US will most certainly give us that fair representation in Washington as a state. We should take the offer seriously and see who wants us more, Canada or the US. IT’s like having two competing job offers in an employee-favourable job market. Why shouldn’t Alberta leverage the heck out of this?
