The news from Tumbler Ridge is horrific, but I'm not sure I agree that every headline should be that this young person was transgender. To me, the mental illness that caused this situation is the headline. Anyone - transgender or not - who can commit such a horrific act is mentally ill first & foremost.
As for MP Mike Dawson, I give him a huge amount of credit for rejecting the pay increase. It will be interesting to watch how many other MP's in any party follow suit.
