RCMP has not released the shooter’s identity or background, but Juno News confirmed the suspect as 17-year-old Jesse Strang, who identified as transgender.
Police initially described the suspect as a “female with brown hair wearing a dress” and said the individual was found deceased at the scene from self-inflicted wounds.
Six victims were discovered at the school, one died en route to the hospital, and two were airlifted to Vancouver with life-threatening injuries. Twenty-five others were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities also reported two additional victims at a nearby residence, believed to be family members of the shooter.

Plus, Conservative MP Mike Dawson has formally rejected the $10,000 pay raise that all MPs are set to receive in April. Dawson sent a letter to the parliamentary clerk requesting to be removed from the automatic increase, stating that the raise is “frankly distasteful” while many Canadians have not seen meaningful wage growth in decades.

Another 'trans' shooter. When will we acknowledge that this is a mental illness??!!
Just more proof that Premier Smith was right.
