Alberta taxpayers have been left with nearly $100 million in unpaid medical bills from non-residents over the past five years, according to new data released by SecondStreet.org, even as residents face longer wait times and worsening access to health care.
“Taxpayers shouldn’t be expected to provide free health care for tourists,” said SecondStreet.org President Colin Craig. “This problem has cost Alberta taxpayers nearly a hundred million dollars while many patients languish on waiting lists.” Keep Reading

As the Liberal government prepares a social media ban for minors in Canada, Telegram founder Pavel Durov is warning about Britain’s plan to ban under-16s from social media, saying it will not protect children but will instead push them deeper into the internet’s darkest corners while expanding government surveillance through digital age ID checks.
The UK will block under-16s from major social media platforms next spring, with additional restrictions on livestreaming and messaging for 16- and 17-year-olds. The current minimum age is 13. Both the fed and provincial govts are putting the lives of real Canadians at risk because of their gimmegrants!! When will this stupidity end??? Use to be that good health was a requirement to immigrate to canada, as to not put a Buren on the healthcare system! Now politicians have opened the door to everyone and it is literally killing Canadians! Some of these gimmegrants get off the plane and go directly to a hospital! Unless there is a plan to refuse gimmegrants medical treatment, what exactly is the point of putting immigration status on a healthcare card? This is taxpayers money and as a taxpayer, I do not want my money used on gimmegrants!
