Former deputy prime minister Chrystia Freeland is now raising a red flag on Prime Minister Mark Carney’s trade deal with Beijing, warning that trusting the communist regime jeopardizes Canada’s crucial trade relationship with the U.S.

In an interview with Bloomberg Television on Wednesday, in response to the U.S. State of the Union address, Freeland—who is now in Ukraine acting as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s economic advisor—told the interviewer she thinks China is the big winner of Trump’s recent global tariff regime.
