Educational, knowledge and training experience IS NOT at the same standard outside of Canada , excepting the US.

Taking a chance with these international Dr’s, nurses, etc is serious high risk to your life.

Do so at you and your families risk.

If the US and Australia have a system for vetting them then maybe Canada should get their heads out of their asses and do the same.

I think Connie meant a medical testing means like an exam on the procedures, diagnosis etc. But then I do not know what the Canadian medical association is all about , but protecting their "own".

That program is already in place and has been for years. Still we end up with fakes. They are totally clueless. They only know what they read in a book. I had on in a small town er. The nurses had to instruct the duu DR. he had no clue what to do. They actually got into a fight, then called an ambulance and sent me to another town. With a head shake from the Dr. at the next er. Our medical problem came years ago from the lack of training new Drs. and Nurses. Then add on top of that the sudden appearance of a few million more patience.

Before they can practice medicine in Canada they have exams, the unnecessary bureaucracy is what delays these doctors who are qualified to practice.

Well if they're the same kind of Drs. that I've gone to, don't waist our time hiring them. Better of going to a herbologist, or pharmacist, or even a witch dr. As I needed a new Dr; I went through 6 of them before I found one who new something about doctoring.

The answer is that the provincial medical boards are delaying or refusing approvals to they can keep the crisis going and get more money for their existing doctors and more power for the boards.

If they can clearly pass the medical exams to be qualified, speak our language well enough , I see no problems . Keep them on a monitoring program for a year or two and then they are full fledged Dr's .

Canada kills its self with far too many redundant rules and layers of government & governing bodies to function . CUT the RED TAPE and simplify the rules on everything in the country so we can grow & prosper .
