My son has had has a specialized renovation business for several years, and constantly mentions his difficulty getting reliable steady workers. They work for a couple of weeks, get paid and then disappear for a month. Nobody wants to work but they want the paycheck. He is not only one I have heard other trades people state the same thing.
Why should they work, since and during COVID-19, the government paid people not to work? And for those to “cheated the system” what happened: NOTHING except in few cases. Why work!
