Just one day after B.C. First Nations threatened the B.C. Conservatives over the end of DRIPA, an Albertan First Nations leader threatened the federal government over the end of the Indian Act.
That’s the problem with this country. Too much appeasement. It started with the French and Quebec. Now it’s the Indians. Not to mention all the special interest groups. Our leaders need to grow a pair and stop trying to appease everybody!
The Indians have been trying to get rid of the Indians act for years but when the federal government wanted to get rid of it they objected because they want to keep the good stuff. No taxes and other benefits that they want to keep. It should be abolished and the special treatment should end

Native chiefs rebel & get tough with Ottawa. Will not accept anymore money for their votes.
