I am an immigrant with my parents bringing me to Canada a few years after WWII. We were received at an immigrant house in Grimsby, Ontario and lived there for about a month while my dad found work as an accountant in what was then known as Galt, now Cambridge. Life was not easy. We moved with three kids to an upstairs apartment, then a side by side condo and lastly into a smallish house. There.were.no.government.handouts.and we were legal immigrants. A few hundred a month from the federal government would have been appreciated back then but that was not in the cards. However, we all made it. With today’s immigrants, illegal or not, and asylum seekers, legit or not, it seems the system is set up to encourage such immigrants. Working in the health care industry about 1/3 of the patients I see need an interpreter. They are just off the boat, so to speak. And you wonder why the health care system Canada wide is in trouble. Oh Canada, where did you go off the rails?

I am sick of my tax dollars going to people I would rather see deported. Contribute to Canada, take on our values and way of living or go back to where you came from.
