Maya Gabala, the 12-year-old, is still recovering in the hospital, a month and a half after surviving a mass shooting in Tumbler Ridge, B.C. Her mother revealed that UFC President Dana White has offered to fully cover Gabala’s medical expenses with a top-of-the-line neurosurgeon in Los Angeles.

Cia Edmonds, Gebala’s mother, who goes by “Cia Later” on Facebook, announced hopeful news about her daughter’s recovery journey after Gebala was critically injured while bravely trying to stop a trans-shooter from entering the Tumbler Ridge secondary school library, where he killed five children between the ages of 11 and 13.
