What is Canada today? Does it even exist except as a name on soon-to-be-outdated maps? Trudeau defined us as a "post national state". And that statement is far worse than most people understand.
Trudeau does not have - nor did he ever have - the intellectual capacity to come up with such a phrase. I wish he was able to. That way, we could just ignore it as adolescent rambling. Using steel made in China when our steel manufacturers are under 50% US tariff attack is unconscionable! Ditto China building BC ferry replacements. All the political babble and yapping about buying Canadian and removing internal trade barriers is hollow talk. Provincial and Federal governments should be ashamed.
Between CARNY and EBY two major projects backed by the "Build Canadian" promises have been given approval to proceed USING STEEL FROM OUR GOOD "FRIENDS" CHINA.
When the steel industry is dying EBY (buy Canadian) and CARNY ( build Canadian) give CHINA as the preferred supplier.
BC Ferries and LNG Project are being built with Chinese Steel.
