Good news for now for Canadians and the Auto industry. We have to continue letting this Liberal government that they work for Canadians and we want a say in what we own and drive.

Lieberals probably know that they should work for Us, but put this idea into the trash can . How can they fill their own pockets otherwise?

Please add to your commentary with ……you can’t get EV vehicles as there is no supply , they are still way way too expensive and they are inefficient with huge heavy batteries that only go 400 km on a charge!!!!

Do not sit there and be abused by politicians and Their Oligarch bosses as a bankrupt Canadian consumer being pushed around having nonsense mandates forced upon us !!!!!

Fight back against the clown captain carnage !!!!

Though it's good to have this break from the mandate, I actually want Carney to stop enacting & taking credit for Pierre's ideas. He's doing nothing but playing political games. He will have his climate change agenda one way or another & the moment he thinks he can pull off a majority, he'll have another election & if he can lie his way to a win, we'll never see the Canada we once knew, again.

Sorry to say this Ruth, but we're already past that point. We would have to have a civil war, then rebuild a country. Maybe change the name to something with real meaning.

There is no logic to the EV mandate push. Firstly, EV's don't help the environment. EV's are made using ton's of FF, then the Electricity generated is mostly made using FF. Secondly, personal Vehicles are only 8% of world Carbon Emissions. Lastly, We are 40 years away from the proper infrastructure to have even 50% of EV's on the road. So, what is the real agenda. We know the real agenda. The agenda is, they can control EV's better than gas vehicles. And if we don't listen, they shut off the power.

You are right on Ben, I think that agenda in the long run is of course is to control every facet of our lives, by limiting driving and our modern lifestyle. The gas vehicle has given the world freedom to of wherever you want and this could have only been possible with the fossil fuels, "which have given us prosperity, longevity and freedom." ( Patrick Moore). If you page through the Agenda 21 and Agenda 2030; the UN ( and the WEF) basically want societies to live in 40 story buildings in little boxy apartments and own no vehicle. Give up travelling and holidaying and basically have a boring life. The pretex for all of this is the popular but false narrative that burning fossil fuels emissions causes the world to warm up. This is not only false but over 140 scientific studies say so.

One of the more recent studies being that of Princeton's Prof Emeritus Will Happer along with York University's William van Wijngaarden along with another study by three Polish scientists that show the all greenhouse gasses are saturated in the atmosphere and have been since the beginning of what we know of about nearly 600 million years of CO2 and global temperature. In fact CO2 and H2O ( water vapour) , the most abundant and effective GHG ) are heavily saturated, meaning that further emissions will not harm our planet. This blows the computer models out of the water; because there models are based on increases in CO2 causing a linear warming effect and thus would create more heat and thus more water vapour but this hasn't been the reality, probably because of both are saturated and are no longer effective a threat to our planet. All models are highly exaggerated and that is the information that governments and mainstream media regurgitate 24/7. The modelling for years has never come to fruition but there is no explanation from the UN or anyone else why. The models have always been highly exaggerated compared to satellite and balloon temperature data. The answer is obviously saturation and the fact that CO2 in the history of our planet has never been responsible for warming the planet .... EVER. END OF STORY.

So Carney backs down on EV mandates. Of course he does. This is the Liberal party’s favourite trick: promise the moon to the eco-radicals, hoover up their votes with talk of “the greatest challenge of our era,” and bask in the glow of noble intentions. Trudeau played the noble eco-warrior, with Carney whispering in his ear, and the enviro-left swooned.

Now, reality intervenes. The EV policy was insane, and they quietly shelve it. But notice what happens: they also get the votes of everyone who thought it was insane to begin with. They play both sides, talking out of both corners of their mouth, and reap twice the reward.

It’s politics as theatre: gesture green, bank the virtue, then retreat when the arithmetic becomes unbearable. And in a country where most voters are half-asleep, it works. Canada is governed not by policy, but by vibes. Carney gets votes because people say “he feels solid.” Poilievre loses them because he once ate an apple in front of a reporter and it looked arrogant.

This is the level of our democracy: voters who can’t explain a carbon tax from a parking ticket are empowered to decide the fate of the economy on the basis of a vibe, a smirk, or a fruit. They’re not voting for a partner or a drinking buddy; they’re voting for the person tasked with steering a country that is already debt-addled, productivity-starved, and in demographic free-fall.

And yet here we are: Carney the eco-zealot one day, Carney the pragmatist the next. He’s not leading — he’s performing. And Canadians are clapping along, too stupid or too distracted to realize the show is at their expense.

Carney is shifting focus to his climate agenda turning away from theTrump issue. Mostly because it isn't working on many levels anymore. Just listening to him(which is extremely hard to do) over the past few days. I think they have been working all summer behind closed doors on climate initiatives. He and his ministers are about to unleash a whirlwind of crap on us, in the eco environment climate change releam. I hope the conservatives are ready.

Could his maniac EV mandate be a rues to cover his stripping of our country's wealth and rights, because this tax dodging pedophile is not the legitimate PM of this country but a plant by the Globalists to destroy and ceaze power here, why do so many Canadians follow & help this domestic terrorist traitor, if you look up inventor Mr. Tesla you'll see in the early 1900's he invented an electric vehicle that works far better than Musk's yet they don't use it & that's because the control freaks don't want one that makes sense.!!!

Ahhh the 11th hour. Just before parliament reopens (if it does) corney is doing another back pedal. He's POSTPONING the EV mandates to look like he's listening and doing it for the people. What a crock of shit. More manipulation. And his ring through the nose followers are falling for it again. He steals Polievre's ideas....says they're his....fucks them up....then the old switcheroo. He's done nothing. Is doing nothing. Still spending money we don't have and making promises he WON'T fulfill. What exactly is all this money he's donating to other countries going towards. Everything Canada is in need of but he wants to look like a hero in other countries and give the money away. I'd like to hear the excuses he tells them when there IS NO money to send them. Fuck off Canada is bankrupt
