It is ridiculous that Canadian workers and families pay almost half of their income to taxes, it is time for a revolt in this country and people simply quit paying taxes on things that they have already paid taxes on , it's like the government is double dipping.
Totally agree, and it is time for store owners to revolt as well...if I buy an item for $60.00 and refuse to pay the tax, I suspect store owners will take the $60.00 in cash and skip the tax. When the government itself is corrupt to its core I don't know how else we can fight back other than not vote for them...but it's mind boggling how fast newcomers are getting citizenship papers so they can vote in any upcoming elections!! If your government used taxpayer dollars to put you up in hotels, fed, and clothed by taxpayers - who would you vote for??

Carney and the liberals are living in a fantasy world on so many fronts they will continually bury us with their taxes. As far as what is being given is concerned, you can always be damned sure they will give pennies but collect dollars on the other hand.
No government anywhere in the world have been able to TAX themselves to prosperity. The middleclass pays 45 to 67 percent of their income on taxes. When did owning a home mean renting it from government regarding property taxes.
Wouldn't you like to be a seat filler when getting elected to represent your party, making 200 grand a year and a great pension when you retire? If you move forward holding a portfolio that's 300 grand a year. They increased my AOS by $18 and took away $300 from my GIS because my income was too high. How do you hold a corrupt government accountable when they have a free rein on spending? I just saw the figures our government is spending on climate control, billions upon billions of our hard-earned money going to waste. Homeless people, let them freeze, who cares? I once was a proud Canadian, my life is coming to an end, let the next generation deal with it if they have the guts. If they don't move forward, they will die in their tracks. I feel sad for my grandson.

I left Canada several months ago.
Saw the writing on the wall.
My tax bill dropped dramatically and I do mean dramatically.
And that included "ALL TAXES"... All forms... All levels.

Almost everybody gets along regardless of beliefs or politics.
