Society is allowed to expect members to pull their own weight. Maturity is an important goal in life, and brings more satisfaction in the long run. Laziness and dishonesty lead a society to dysfunction and collapse. Martin Luther King Jr. dreamed of a day when we should judge a person by the content of their character. Laziness, and disrespect of society, and dishonesty will lead to a failing grade.

".....denying drug users access to tested, less volatile substances violates their human right to life, liberty and security of the person..."

So not only allow them to legally consume it, but we have to supply it as well? As a human right?

By that logic the government should be supplying me with food and shelter.

And also safety from theft, vandalism, garbage, needles, especially when located near schools, elderly housing, hospitals, residential areas.

Why not give people free alcohol too? It's a spiral to the bottom.

You can tell she has only had to deal with dead junkies! Why are we not stigmatizing drugs? Instead we glamorize them and call it a human right! WTF????!

When your Province has not destroyed itself enough or to your liking.

Call out a former woke joke of a coroner.

Why not???

What about the human rights of the tax payer, the victims of theft, the kids who see needles on the ground, and how much is this all costing?

How about ensuring NO supply, which would 100% safer? How about putting guarding the borders? How about hiring Canadians? How about creating the kind of atmosphere that ensures kids are not abused and grow up to be unsettled adults? How about prosecuting drug pushers, and yes, I know that would include going all the way up the ladder?

If you can stigmatize littering, incorrect sorting of recyclables, non-vaccinated and unmasked people, why can you not stigmatize the act of ruining mind, body and spirit - AND the act of supplying destructive drugs?

“CANADA”

Land of the lunatics and light loafers.

We are officially a clown country run by perverts.

By designating hard drugs you are essentially saying to young and old that it is okay to become addicted to drugs??? This is not what any sane person would back. You want to give free drugs to people but a diabetic who needs their drugs to survive have to pay a fortune just to try to live a normal life.

I think these supporters of “free clean drugs” have been sampling too much of the product themselves.

“A court case is currently underway, launched by Drug User Liberation Front (DULF) co-founders Eris Nyx and Jeremy Kalicum, who argue that denying drug users access to tested, less volatile substances violates their human right to life, liberty and security of the person from Section 7 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.”

I distinctly recall my freedoms being abused a few years ago……when I needed to fly to another province for a family emergency………but I hadn’t injected myself with a certain substance………..and I was the bad guy…………no court case ensued though. Weird.
