Those examples I stated are the tip of the iceberg in a decades old scandal involving the Sikh terrorists Khalistan that have infiltrated many huge corporations in North America, and especially the massive trucking industry,. The number of illegal, untrained unlicensed drivers in the US and Canada is in the THOUSANDS..This has resulted in mayhem and death on ALL major routes in both countries. My brother in law was a driver for years, and quit when it got too dangerous on the road. You remember when a tractor-trailer crash was hardly ever seen, and made headlines??..NOW it happens dozens of times DAILY (many with tragic outcomes) and the barely get mentioned on the UN Liberal News Network) He told me that some of "those people" have their families on board living in the truck..(with a hole cut out in the sleeper cab for them to do their dirty work out of!!)..and many truckers have 3 or more drivers swapping out and sharing the same log book. Time was when REAL truckers despised automatic trannys cuz they sucked..but NOW there are fleets of them..because "those people" can't drive the technical standard trannys..

This is an issue in the States as well: immigrants given licenses to drive trucks & who cannot speak or read English. It's crucial for them to be able to READ THE FREAKING SIGNS!! How hard can that be for governments to control that? Really? The Alberta government has closed some of the truck driving schools because they weren't properly training drivers & likely didn't know themselves what they were doing. It was likely just for the money they could scam from the people who thought they were getting the training they needed. I also believe the government subsidizes people who want to train the in the trucking industry, so the "trainers" were probably hauling in $$ for something they were incompetent or not licensed to do. This needs to be done in all provinces. I watch Highway401 on TV & shudder to think who is driving those 18 wheelers & the kind of training they got and can they read English?
Ya..it's scary..I have been following this issue since I was a shipper in Calgary in the mid- 80s..and many of the truckers mentioned to me that there was a company in town exclusively training "new Canadian" truckers (AKA Magic Carpet Training) as my drivers referred to it..Years later working in the Oilsands a group of fellow electricians were on the bus that got nailed near Edmonton..(killing 6 and many seriously hurt)..we found out the driver was one of "those people"...then years after that, came the Humboldt hockey bus crash..one of the first things I did was check out the truck driver's name..yup..you guessed it..
..I actually sent letters/ emails to the papers/ MMPs...didn't get one response..

One other concerning point from this story is how he had to have a Punjabi translator to apologize. If he can't speak English enough to convey his own words in English, he shouldn't be driving a truck and participating in other jobs until he can speak English well enough. Did/does he actually understand the signs and road rules?
This whole thing is especially concerning to me as I have a son who is a newer driver and it's worrisome thinking of him on the road with these unsafe truck drivers here in Brampton.
The judges need to be held accountable, this is sick and unjust. If I white trucker did this, he would have manslaughter charges. The justice system needs to be fair for all.

I was at Syncrude on the UE-1 project at the time. I was on a bus about 15 minutes ahead of the bus hit by one-of-the-two so-called truck drivers.
There should have been serious jail time.
