Windsor drug bust leads to $139m seized in cocaine and methamphetamine
The 18-month-long trafficking probe brought in not only 1.7 tonnes of illegal drugs, but also 17 weapons, including a massive anti-tank rifle.
Nearly two tonnes of illicit drugs have been seized following a cross-border investigation with police and border agencies in Canada and the U.S. known as Project Bay.
The drug bust marks one of Ontario’s largest single-investigation seizures as authorities intercepted an estimated $139 million worth of narcotics in street value, which was mostly cocaine and methamphetamines.
