I agree with you, Keean. I voted for Jeromy Farkas last time around, but definitely not this time. I'm voting for Sonya Sharp tomorrow. Sadly, we have a pretty apathetic, disengaged voter base, and many don't vote.

Sharp is a buffoon. I live in Ward 1 - Sharp is awful; public safety is an afterthought for her...and unless you want crackheads distributed to the suburbs and closer to schools, a vote for her is a wasted vote.

From everything I have learned about the candidates, I agree with your choice of Sharp. Any other is just inviting more of the same crap as in the past decade!

I respectfully disagree. Sharp has been a useless councillor, even voting with Gondek on the 'climate emergency'; and she wants crackhead services in every community. Her plan is simply to move the crackheads around instead of cracking down on them! pun intended.

We. Certainly don’t need Gondek or Farkas with their policies…

One piece of advice - work on increasing voter turnout! Well organized progressives have learned this and that’s what has led to the mayhem - in virtually every town in the country.

I disagree re Sharpe. Primarily because she will not repeal Blanket Zoning. I also doubt she will listen to Calgarians. 75%of Calgarians want it repealed and she has said she will not repeal it.

I think Jeff Davison would be the best choice for mayor: Implement a four year tax freeze, expand the police budget for at least 200 new officers, repeal Blanket zoning, ensure the planning process is driven by Calgarians.

I’m pretty sure she said in the question survey to the Mayors and councillors running , that she would repeal it. Many did not participate, which says something, but she did.

She said she would ‘adjust’ it but would not repeal it. 75% of Calgarians want it repealed. She doesn’t listen to Calgarians.

Agreed; Sharp will not only keep blanket rezoning but put crackheads in all our communities. If that happens, I'm selling my Calgary house and moving outside the boundaries of the idiots in Calgary.

I completely and totally disagree with this article - Sharp will also destroy Calgary. I live in Ward one. Sharp doesn't give a booger about public safety. She did nothing about transit issues even though I dealt with her directly starting in 2021. Also, by closing the Drop In Centre and moving all the services for crackheads to the 'burbs - she is NOT solving a problem, rather she is going to create 20 new problems!! Those of us not living downtown DO NOT WANT CRACKHEADS IN OUR COMMUNITIES!!! At least downtown the problem can be managed by ENFORCING THE LAW. All it will take is police empowered to do their job. Thats it. This article is good for pointing out Gondek's follies - and yes she is an absolute idiot and been terrible for the city; but Sharp will be no better.

Those that don’t see the need to vote always whine and cry the most! Move away to Ontario…you deserve each other! Meanwhile, Calgary needs to divorce completely from the “woke” ideologies Gondek liked to implement to run the city! Good luck on voting day! I live a very long piece away from Calgary, thank God!!
