My favourite TFW scam was the admission of close to 900 women as exotic dancers years ago. Apparently Canadian women don't like to work in strip clubs where about 70% are pressed into prostitution. I guess Canadian women were too lazy and unenlightened for the Canadian government who felt the the upstanding business model of human trafficing/sex trade industry deserved support.

The Conservatives have been drawing attention to the Temporary Foreign Workers program ( which is good) but I recently found out about Canada's International Mobility Program which seems even more concerning because it does not require employers to complete a Labour Market Impact Assessment because it supports "economic, social and cultural objectives". I read that Canada has brought in about 302,280 in the first half of 2025. I'd like to hear more about this.

Exactly! I was going to say the same thing. The international mobility program brings in Millions every year and they can bring in families with as well!! This program is far more insidious than the TFW!

Carnage is always saying businesses/people are asking for this.... WHO? I don't know anybody who's asking for this. Who's he talking to? Probably talking to himself.

The whole of the “System” and most “Systems” in general are Exploitively Evil!!!

Tim Horton’s is also no longer Canadian as it was taken over by Warren Buffett!!! It deserves to go down. Warren Buffett is not an upright business owner. Take a look at Wells Fargo; another of his companies.

Just wondering ...

More than one thing smells on this scam.

Perhaps more than just a coincidence...

WEF... Globalist... Larger Corporations.. Carney (who advised the weird sock guy)... Brookfield...

Nothing obvious there I suppose.

My university-aged daughter applied to a local small business for summer work. The job went to a temporary foreign worker. https://open.canada.ca/data/en/dataset/90fed587-1364-4f33-a9ee-208181dc0b97/resource/f995383c-800e-46dd-92fa-a06ec7a9a706 Why did the employer qualify for a TFW when he had applications from local students begging for work. In the end, my daughter went another summer without finding any employment despite sending out hundreds of applications. She had to work as a volunteer instead to at least try to build up her resume.

This fiasco shows how the symbiosis between federal Liberals and the HR departments of big companies floods Canada with Third World migrants sidestepping the merit-based immigration process.

Had the mentally challenged Trudeau the Trudope not been elected in the 1st place, Canada would not be in the mess it is now! In case you have not noticed, Canada has become a mirror image of the USA in terms of illegals who have come here and of whom most hate us and want us dead. If you have not noticed, you have NOT been paying attention and your silence will be your downfall!

But in the US they have a president who's taking action against this illegal aliens problem. I wish we had a leader with a backbone who'd send in teams (ICE) to round them up and remove them from our country.

Bravo, Dr. Michael Bonner! There was a Serbian restaurant in Nepean where my family ate about once a week. One of their waitresses was in Canada under the TFW program. She was a lovely, charming girl who spoke OK English. Much of the clientele, including my wife and son, were Serbian speakers, so they liked her because she was Montenegrin and spoke their language. When she was not waitressing she was useful in the kitchen because she knew from her upbringing how to make special Balkan dishes. Her TFW permit was not extended and she went back to Montenegro. I would be interested in knowing how Dr. Bonner would think about whether what was left of the TFW program would treat someone like her. I suspect he would favour excluding her from it, but it is not so clearcut as bringing in someone from a Third World country to work at Tim Horton’s.

We Canada have reinstated the slave trade, how is this ok? Calling this “evil” is not a strong enough description of this warped, horrific, disrespect of humanity! I’m ashamed to be Canadian right now😕

Virtually every fruit and vegetable crop can be harvested by machines. The TFW are cheaper than upgrading production systems and equipment.
