U.S. begins trade deal negotiations with Mexico, Canada in a “different spot”
“Canada’s approach has been different,” Greer said during an event at the Council on Foreign Relations, lumping Ottawa in with China.
United States Trade Representative Jamieson Greer says that America intends to keep tariffs in place on Canada and Mexico despite the trade agreement between the three nations, which is currently being negotiated.
He also called out Canada and China as being the only two countries that have been difficult to deal with.
