Considering all that has happened in US/Canada relations, the F35 is a wise move for Canada. I’m surprised the US would let Canada/China even have the plane. Going with Saab/EU will further sink Canada’s global status.
I totally disagree with both of you. The F35 is expensive to buy and maintain, way over what they said the original costs would be. The US controls everything we might want to do with the F35. The offer from Sweden is incredible. Planes made for arctic weather, lower cost with less maintenance. New break through Rolls Royce engines. They will be made in Canada and we will control the software. It could make 10,000 new jobs in Canada. In no way will it sink Canada’s global status. Are both of you from the US???

And its newer string of Colonies) Canada are to be sacrificed in the 'go for broke' main task - the removal of Trump and regime-change in the USA with a palace appointee like Carney who will be close-at-hand to take over.
