The United Nations’ top court has issued a warning to countries around the world that they may soon be held accountable for failing to address climate change under international law.

The more than 500-page International Court of Justice opinion was released on Wednesday, which argued that everyone is entitled to a “clean, healthy and sustainable environment.”
