New details have emerged regarding the devastating Tumbler Ridge school shooting. OpenAI has revealed its staff debated reporting trans shooter Jesse Strang’s messages to ChatGPT to authorities but ultimately decided not to.

As first reported in the Wall Street Journal, Strang, identified as Jesse Van Rootselaar by the RCMP, described several scenarios involving gun violence over the course of several days to ChatGPT, OpenAI’s large language model artificial intelligence.
