Ford is a snake. A liberal not conservative and nowhere near the integrity of his brother. Like Trudeau he was voted in by his name.

I can't believe anybody who calls themselves conservative, voted for this moron. You're as bad as Liberals who voted Trudeau and then Carney simply because that's their party.

There just hasn't been a reasonable alternative in years, and it appears that the situation is not about to change soon. We desperately need a real Conservative to step up to the plate. The problem is, in my opinion, the people living this province and this country have become so woke, lazy, ill-informed and just stupid, that any potential candidate knows in their heart that this country is already gone. It's just too late, and that is very, very sad, but true.

I'm a Conservative, and have been for 60 years. Of course I voted for Doug Ford's government during the last election, when his true colours began to seep through. What would you suggest I do in the next election, when and if it happens. ...Liberals, NDP or Green? Or put differently, what would you do if a provincial election were to be called tomorrow?

Expand full comment
William Stewart's avatar

It's going to take them a while but if Doug Fraud keeps his loud mouth going perhaps not as long as it might be.

Take a look at The New Blue Party.

They are real Conservatives.

Something Doug Fraud has never been nor, for that matter the OPC Party.

Expand full comment
Barry Birkett's avatar

I did vote for New Blue the election before the last one, but the impact of voting for them was negligible. They were invisible last election. Did they even have a candidate in Belleville? I honestly don't remember.

Expand full comment
William Stewart's avatar

Yes Barry... They had a candidate in pretty much every riding.

I also voted New Blue in the last couple of elections.

In each one where I am they over doubled their votes between the two.

It's going to take time for them but as I said if Fraud keeps his current level of BS up perhaps they may get a seat or two next time around.

The thing is the OPC (and Doug Fraud) cannot really afford to piss off the ever growing number of actual Conservatives that is currently happening.

Some of the ridings Fraud's gang won they one in very close races.

The New Blue could be a Fraud and OPC killer.

At this point Fraud and gang really are no better than the old Liberals.

OK.. They still are but not by much.

And YES... The New Blue since they became an official party has picked up an increasing number of votes in each election.

... SO ...

While not yet having a seat that will come unless Fraud can actually become a Conservative and frankly I really do believe he does not that that in him.

At best he is a classic Liberal and if the actual Liberal party of Ontario can find a few of those and especially in a leader Fraud and the OPC will be in really big trouble.

I have been out of the country and only started hearing about New Blue. I think that party needs to start campaigning now. Lots of conservatives very unhappy with Ford. This will be a great opportunity for a real Conservative Party to build up suppprt.

William Stewart's avatar

Take a look at their website and sign up.

They actually never stop campaigning.

I get E-mails from the several times a week.

It is high time that Ford shuts his unprofessional mouth as he does nothing but irritate the US politicians and Trump resulting in tougher negotiations with no benefit to Canada or Ontario. Canadians all talk about Trump but put no thought or concern about some of our own very poor leaders and keep driving the Canadian economy into the poor house. Of course they then turn around and blame it on Trump while all their very poor business policies are the reason why Canada is in the shape it is, and very little to do with Trump. But proves when your not very bright, you blame others!!

IDK who's "advising" Dougie, but it seems to me it was a "hairbrained scheme" to spend this obscene amount of Ontario taxpayers hard-earned (literally) $$ to play this video on US networks (which I'm sure the far left presidents of these networks were salivating to play)! What a breach of "confidence" between countries. Ford probably got Carnage's approval, thinking "that'll get 'im good!" What were they thinking? Nothing good or wholesome, I assure you! The only reason I can think of in the "grand scheme" of things is Ford wants to be prime minister down the road! And what political party would he represent, pray tell? NDP? LIB? IND? Surely not Conservative. He crossed over that line long ago... it was political suicide, IMHO. All he had to do was read/watch a little of the "The Bureau" wisdom. RIP (politically) Dougie!
