Oversight for a post-war Gaza government is now off the table for Canada, after U.S. President Donald Trump suddenly revoked Prime Minister Mark Carney’s invitation to join the U.S.-led “Board of Peace,” just days after Carney’s speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Trump announced Thursday night on Truth Social that the Board of Peace “is withdrawing its invitation… regarding Canada’s joining what will be the most prestigious Board of Leaders ever assembled at any time.”
