Good. I hope Trump just takes the North. Anything that helps speed up the death of Kanada is a wonderful and beautiful thing. Absolutely anything that helps nudge Alberta to freedom is a blessing.

Another opportunity for a column title modification.

That courtesy of Liberal Governance.

"Trump privately fuming over Canada’s pathetic Arctic defence"

How about...

CANADA has become PATHETIC

Trump is right as usual. Even if the US weren't in the equation, we SHOULD have a strong Air Force and military in general. And we WOULD have it by now if we weren't so busy handing over billions to snickering never-a-patriot Krystia Freeland and Ukraine, funding fake projects overseas, and bringing in "refugees" and paying for their room and board. Instead, we have forfeited our sovereignty anyway. No excuses.

So now the liberals are whimpering about being taken over by the US - remind them they voted for this outcome. Canada had the abundant resources and smarts to gain perfect sovereignty and blew it. We would have been a stronger and more respected partner with the US.

We've been deliberately weakened by psych-ops brought to us by membership with foreign and unelected entities like the UN, the WHO and the WEF. Our politicians are treasonous (allegedly) and the majority of our population mind-wiped.

Please remind our socialist comrades they essentially voted for a weak military by expending funds on DEI, rainbow flags, unicorns and hair dye. China and Russia are laughing.

All the provinces should secede from the lie of Confederation, regroup, build a tall fence around Ottawa, and put the capitol elsewhere.

James Turner's avatar

Allegedly? treasonous.

I have no method of proving this, but would wager that we've spent more money on LGBQT + dogs and DEI than we have on national defence.

Billions and Billions's avatar

I say allegedly because I await a court ruling on their actions. This will not be in our lifetimes.

I think your budgetary assessment is correct. Don't forget the covid scam, the billions spent on the vials of wrath, the face diaper enforcement...

James Turner's avatar

I agree on the court actions - not going to happen in my lifetime. One law for thee, and another for me.

Throughout history, Kanada has had a miserable, pathetic almost zero Arctic defense security system...With all of the obscene over taxation the Kanadian governments past and present have unleashed onto the Kanadian taxpayers, at least some tax money should have at least being spent on Arctic military security..Now all of a sudden Carney is considering sending Kanadian troops to help defend Greenland. This after Canada has also sent billions of taxpayers money and military equipment to help defend the corrupt state of Ukraine. This while the Kanadian regime does zero for Kanadian security..Kanada has and always will be joke on the international scene....Since the US are always doing regime changes all over the world, its now time that they consider doing a regime change in Kanada. Carney and his criminal liberal cartel all need to be arrested and locked up for crimes, abuse and corruption against the people.....

Imagine Russia having 32 installations in the arctic and we have Resolute Bay. The liberals strike out in many things, giving more attention to wokeism and diversity. Our military is compromised by dei instead of the best. Trump must change the channel when there is carney postulating to terrorists and the chinese.

He should be fuming at pathetic Canada.

Yep, that perfect model of freedom and liberrty, That is the USA!

It is no secret that Trump and the United States, historically, believes and actions state the western hemisphere is the domain of democratic market based countries with the US being the most dynamic and powerful economy.

The elbozo’s naively believe the status quo is both necessary and acceptable…Trump is briefed and knows more about Canadian affairs (our short comings) than most Canadians.

Time to put in our big boy pants.

Pierre Polliviere is against the US "seizing" Greenland. What about the US purchasing Greenland?

Mike Robinson's avatar

That is fine as long as it is done fairly and directly with Greenland.

This is no surprise, and he will use any excuse for satisfying his dreams of North American domination. Now it is just a question of what we are going to do about it? CUSMA is practically finished for us and with our present government's diplomatic dealings or lack there of with the US over the past year, I do not have a lot of faith in how they will deal with the US regarding our sovereignty.

The conman is all talk. The funds that should have been for defence has been squandered and embezzled by the liberals for years. We have virtually nothing left for defence in the artic. I doubt if the few who are stationed there would even notice an invasion going by them. Well it wouldn't matter much, we don't have any defence capabilities anyway. AGAIN Trump is right. It appears that Poilievre has no ideas of military and defence. If he did, he would have had the liberals out in the cold years ago.

Trudy Paul's avatar

Poillievre cannot do it by himself. Maybe if more people had done some homework before the last election, we wouldn’t be in this situation. But it seems some are more interested in shooting him down Rather than admitting that they made a huge mistake last election. You had your chance for change but chose same old. Same old so we all pay the penalty.

You assume to much. I have always voted conservative. But that doesn't mean that they know what they are doing. It sure shows that they need to learn more about laws of the land and exercise them. But they like so many don't have the stamina. Takes much more than a university education to take charge of country.

Trudy Paul's avatar

I also vote conservative now. I would say they have as much or more knowledge about laws than the Liberal party.

{Logan} Untitled's avatar

No, if they did they would have had the lieberals behind bars a few years ago. What all shows is that the conservatives are just putting their time like all the others. Waiting for that fat pension, then live happily ever after. What need is an exceptionally brave party of people to take over.

Trudy Paul's avatar

And I think the conservatives can do it.

{Logan} Untitled's avatar

I hope you are right, but there is no further chance then right today. Unlike you, I don't believe the have balls to do what it would take.

Maybe have a staffer run these articles through a spellchecker when publishing.

Canada has the Rangers in the artic . What more do you want ? What a joke .

From my 20's, well over 50 years ago, I have said we needed to show sovereignty of our artic or loos it . Nothing has changed since then .

The Rangers are Eskimos that used to have old 303 Enfield rifles discarded by the army . Now they have Colt rifles that the wood stacks are falling apart . A poor trade .

Why we have neglected to set up a couple permeant bases or develop the Artic is beyond me . All governments are to blame here .

I guess it is the same reason the libs/ndp/greens want to leave the oil in the ground .

This is off the topic but I would like to say to Juno News that it would be good to see more written articles instead of video pod casts.

For once I disagree with Poilievre’s stance and comments. Not our argument, not our concern. It would actually help Canada if the US were there. We know there won’t be any force used, common sense should tell you that. In all likelihood Trump will offer to buy Greenland that would likely enrich their population of 57,000.
