Train rips through semi-trailer stopped on tracks

RCMP later confirmed the driver of the semi was issued an $852 careless driving ticket.

A semi-trailer truck was split in two after colliding with a train near Taber, Alta. No serious injuries were reported, according to the RCMP.

The collision happened Tuesday afternoon near Range Road 160 alongside Highway 3, east of Taber near Fincastle.
