The New York Times has reported that Canada-U.S. trade negotiations allegedly fell apart after Prime Minister Mark Carney told U.S. President Donald Trump that the details of the deal being offered weren’t good enough to revive the Keystone XL pipeline.

Carney had initially hinted at the possibility of the controversial pipeline being back on the table during a visit to the White House last year.
