The Toronto Star is facing scrutiny for selectively choosing which alleged antisemites to name, after the paper failed to identify Rostam Rashidkhani, a 27-year-old Toronto man facing charges related to an antisemitic harassment incident by police, despite his name being publicly available.

Toronto Police Services announced Friday that its hate crimes unit arrested Rashidkhani for alleged antisemitic harassment between Feb. 28, 2026, and March 6, 2026, as the Iran war began to kick off.
