Toronto police have arrested five protesters on hate-related offences following a protest in a largely Jewish neighbourhood where antisemitic signs were displayed.

Toronto Police Services have arrested five additional anti-Zionist protesters in connection with a protest that happened the day after the Al-Quds Day protest in Toronto, in March, where individuals paraded antisemitic signs.

Police announced the arrest of several individuals who wore disguises at the protest, Hosaam Hemdan, Omer Turcan, Syed Hussaini and two others who weren’t wearing disguises Hasan Aydin and Yasaf Shaikh, charging them all with Wilful promotion and public incitement of hatred.
