A Toronto judge let a repeat crack cocaine dealer off easy, citing the man’s claimed Indigenous ancestry and addiction as reasons for a lenient sentence, even though he repeatedly broke parole to sell hard drugs.

In a decision released January 23, 2026, Justice André Chamberlain of the Ontario Court of Justice granted a two-year reduction in the sentence of Toronto crack dealer Lloyd Williams.
