Three arrested in major Toronto-area break-and-enter investigation
Toronto police announced three arrests in a large-scale break-and-enter investigation involving an estimated $1.5 million in stolen property. Police set up a website to help return items.
Toronto police announced three arrests as part of Project Compass, a major investigation into a series of high-end residential break-and-enters, but won’t release the names of those arrested or say whether the individuals are already out on bail.
Police announced Thursday that, in addition to the arrests and 150 charges laid, they believe a pawn shop owner was used to sell the items. More charges could be laid against both the suspects and the pawn-shop owner.
Toronto police also set up a website gallery of the stolen items that community members can browse and attempt to recover items they believe to have been stolen from their property.
