Carney and his clowns have not made a single trade deal since carnage took over.

He’s trying to sink Canadians and needs to be voted out of office and replaced with someone who cares about Canadians

So true. Carney was supposedly elected to save Canada from Trump (by misguided people who naively fell for CBC propaganda). But now we actually need an election to save Canada from Carney and Ford!

I would add that Carney's Liberals are also warming up to China, which is glad to take over Canada and turn it into a vassal state. How insane do you have to be to alienate our natural ally and protector, the USA, and hand over the country to actual Communists!

Carney is committing treason and sinking Canada fast. Ford is helping him.

The US accounts for 70% of trade with Canada. China accounts for a wee sliver of that amount. There is no replacing it with canola and/or pork.

I could not agree more. I wonder if people realize that Kearney has absolutely no interest in Canada prospering. His stand on “climate change” requires the opposite. And when he says that Canadians are going to have to be ready to sacrifice, to do with less, it’s disgusting because clearly he is not talking about himself or his cohorts sacrificing anything.

Lwhite's avatar

Climate change is being debunked. Slowly but surely.

I’m not a Rogan bro but he recently had nonpartisan experts on his platform to debunk the theory which will reach some people who need to hear it. Maybe they’ll believe it? All I needed to do was look at the messengers of global warming: they’re all well documented serial liars like Gore, Kerry and Obama. Trudeau too. Of course it’s all bulls-it.

Yes but somehow I think it may even be too late for that one.

Too many Canadians seem to not be capable of getting how very incompetent and destructive their leaders are.

Lead by Carney (intentionally destroying Canada) and Ford the incompetent buffoon who simply does not get how very dangerous he really is.

BTW,,, While I like Brian Lilley and he made some good points in that video he too often, as he also did in this video appears to be an apologist for Ford.

This may be OK with some but it is certainly not a good look for a lot of folks these days with respect to Ford who certainly has to be called out when deserved and on this most recent moved he dearly deserves to be called out as he (Ford/Fraud) did not "Start A Conversation" but he certainly ENDED ONE.

... AND YES ... As at the end of that video ... It is we, the regular citizens and taxpayers of Canada who are currently paying the price for the arrogance and incompetence of our supposed leaders and their herds of not up-to-the-job negotiators.

Will there be a deal soon...

Perhaps there is more to this but right now I would not be holding my breath.

As always... Hope I am wrong but don't think so.

We are we, so very, very often these days our own worst enemy?

For that I think right now thank a Liberal and Conservatives who are Conservatives in name only like OntArWeOwe's very own Premier.

You gotta' give the Dough boy credit for one thing. His political timing in calling an election was impeccable. If he called it today with all that has been going on lately there is no way he would have the success he had.

And he knew that or at least the smarter people behind him did as Fraud has shown he's not the brightest light around.

... AND NOW ...

They are going to table legislation to remove the fixed election dates and leave that totally up to the Government to call.

An obvious complete advantage to the Government in power as only they will know when they are going to do that.

A banana republic/dictator kind of move.

HUMMM!!!!!... Does Fraud have a uniform and a bunch of self awarded meddles hidden away somewhere??

This guy has become a complete abomination.

Nailed it Kris. The problem also as I see it is our feeling of superiority over “orange man bad.” It is not a wise attitude when he pretty much holds all the cards. And I don’t mean talking to him with cap in hand, but negotiate in good faith, which hasn’t happened yet. You don’t start by saying there are certain trade barriers that are non negotiable.

So true.....I'm 83 and completely agree with you. Canadian-born, but at 26, emigrated to the USA (NYC), quickly landed a great job that included a brand new Buick LeSabre, a very generous expense account, good medical care, etc.. Americans were great to work with, open-minded, full of humor and loved to tease. I was fortunate to make a lot of very good friends and I firmly believe that living in the U.S.A. for more than 20 years helped mold my character for the better

Imagine the meltdown if Danielle Smith had meddled in foreign politics and triggered higher tariffs on all of Canada — crippling the auto sector and setting the country back years. The outrage would be deafening. But when Ontario does it? Crickets. Only more anti-Trump posturing.

Hypocrisy — Canada’s true national pastime.

Canada has never played fair with tariffs. The worst thing they have done is maliciously allow trans shipments which allowed China, India and others to ship to Canada and then allow it to be relabelled as Canadian and reshipped to the US to avoid US tariffs and controls. It happened during Trump's first term and Trudeau took 9 months of tariffs on our steel before he stopped it. After Trump left Trudeau opened it up again. Trump is insisting in all new trade deals to forbid this fraud. PS Trans shipping does not involve wearing dresses.

Trump will probably conclude a successful trade deal with China this Thursday. This will leave Canada (and maybe North Korea and Togo) as practically the only countries to have no deal with the U.S. Ford and Carney are doing a great job. And I’m the King of Spain.

The "Liberals" since 2015 have been playing the "incompetency" game..while everything they've done is just part of their big picture plan..and this "tiff" with Trump is no different. Carney acts as if the U.S. trade partnership is no big deal..but he's not acting. He knows what the End Game is about, and who's IN..and who's OUT. At this point, the U.S. and Israel are the only ones on the OUT list..and something HUGE is imminent that will change that. Hope to hell I'm wrong..but it's the only scenario that makes any sense of all this senseless crap that's been ramping up since 2015..and REALLY ramping up the last few months..
