In the latest episode of Not ‘Sorry’ on Juno News, host Alexander Brown, Director of the National Citizens Coalition, is joined by John Carpay, President of the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms, to discuss the JCCF’s damning January report on “Canada’s assisted suicide crisis.”
Canada is now a world leader in offering “Medical Assistance in Dying” in place of timely care, variety of care, and better palliative care, with experts warning its pending expansion to include the mentally ill, those struggling financially, and infants born with rare diseases violates not just informed consent, but threatens to lead the country down a dark path.
In an era of activist medicine that continues to ignore the evidence, such as in the growing case against the rapid roll-out of “Gender affirming care,” first principles are being ignored, none more so than “First, do no harm.”
These stories illustrate the very real, life-altering consequences of these modern medical decisions, and of evidence-based medicine losing out to apparent activism. Assisted suicide, long-term physical pain, irreversible sterilization and deep psychological distress are now hallmarks of a once-heralded system, now in urgent need of reform and renewal.
Join Brown and Carpay for this important deep-dive, exclusively on Juno News.
