A temporary resident from India avoided jail after pleading guilty to sexual assault, receiving 170 days of house arrest and 18 months’ probation.
Karandeep Singh, 24, pleaded guilty Jun. 30 to a Jun. 13, 2024 sexual assault in Prince George, according to the Prince George Citizen.
The woman had met Singh through her cousin the previous month. According to agreed facts, she later arranged a meetup through Singh’s Snapchat and went to a basement suite, where Singh forced her into sexual acts after his friend left.
