Mark Carney’s hand-picked Liberal MP Lori Idlout, who crossed the floor from the NDP to prop up the Liberals, is facing conflict-of-interest allegations after records revealed a company she partly owns received more than $600,000 in federal funding since 2021.

As first reported by the Blacklock’s Reporter, Idlout, a self-described “significant owner” of the NVision Insight Group, an indigenous consultancy firm that operates indigenous training workshops, has received over $600,000 from the federal government since 2021, to which Idlout recently joined.
