Ontario Premier Doug Ford just unveiled the 2026 Ontario Budget, but taxpayer advocates are blasting the government for once again saddling Ontarians with debt interest payments instead of reining debt in.

Noah Jarvis, the Ontario Director of the Canadian Taxpayer Federation, spoke with Juno News after Ford’s government unveiled on Thursday that it would be adding $25.8 billion to the provincial debt, driving the total debt cost for the province up to $485 billion.
