Surrey sees four separate shootings in under 48 hours

The city has been a hotspot for transnational criminal gangs in recent years, with an explosion of drive-by shootings and extortion cases.

Violent crime in Surrey, B.C. continues to explode as the city has experienced four shootings in the last 48 hours.

The first took place in the Sullivan Heights neighbourhood on Saturday, leading to the murder of 27-year-old Jasman Sekhon, who was already known to authorities. Police believe Sekhon’s murder was targeted.
